A Rather Sad Email:

Jim Ley just (Apr-12-2011, 15:33) wrote me :

Hello, I started to build a zenith CH-650, but my cancer has returned and I am no longer able to work on it.
I have several sheets of 6061-T6 Aluminum that I need to sell.
I was hoping that you could post this to your we sites classified ad’s section.

(5 pieces) 6061-T6 .025 x 48″ x 144″ (4′ x 12′)
asking $50.00 each piece or best offer

(1 piece ) 6061-T6 .032 x 48″ x 144″ (4′ x 12′)
asking $55.00 or best offer

Whoever buys it (them) will have to pick it up from my house as I have no way to transport them.

Thanks,

Jim Ley

Please let me add the following remarks:

All the properties of that Aluminium you can see in the ACspruce catalog.
It is a very common and good general purpose alloy, which is sold at ACspruce for more than double the price Jim Ley is asking for.
I have asked for one sheet and so a transport to the 07F-Area will happen anyway.

Pacer to sale

Good Afternoon,

I have been asked to help Carroll Shelby sell several of his aviation related assets including his beautiful Piper Pacer. Price is $37,500. It has less than 10 hours since ground up restoration that was completed in 2008. New Ceconite Fabric & Dope Finish, Zero timed 150 hp engine, good VFR avionics. Cream with Blue strip. Has a fresh November 2009 Annual inspection.

Here is a recent photo of Carroll flying the Pacer with me over his farm in Pittsburg .
