Crash during Take-Off

A crash mostly happens when landing. But this Boeing crashed during take-off. A freight-plane of Kalitta Air broke at Brüssel-Zaventem/Belgium in two pieces. Fortunately none of the 5 crew-members was hurted. One of many possible reasons: the RWY is rather short.

Accident in Denton

Last Thursday at Soutwest Regional, Denton County, TX , perfect flying day, calm wind, good visibility.

NO INJURIES.

Notice the props, it is a nearly perfect match. Who is at fault? Stinson is a total.

The Stinson was on takeoff roll when the Piper with an instructor and student landed on top it.
The main gear of the Piper missed the pilots head about 4″.

Diana Barnato-Walker
Diana Barnato in a taxi-Anson: by the age of 22 she had delivered 240 Spitfires and other aircraft, unarmed and without IMC-instruments

Diana Barnato Walker, who died on April 28 aged 90 , occupied an almost legendary position in the world of aviation: as well as being one of a handful of “Atagirls”, women who served during the war as ATA (Air Transport Auxiliary) pilots delivering newly-built and battle-ready aircraft to airfields all over southern England, in 1963 she became the first British woman to break the sound barrier.
