Air Salvage of Dallas

The big annual sale of aircraft parts is Dec-9th
Air Salvage of Dallas
at the Lancaster airport will be held on that Saturday. You can fly or drive in.
All parts are 10 to 50% off the regular salvage price.
Everything from complete airplanes to engines, props, control surfaces, wheels & brakes, A N Fittings hardware, radios, instruments and much more!!! You do not want to miss it to get those parts and pieces.
I know it is the same day as the EAA Christmas dinner but you still have plenty of time.
Hope to see you there.

Saturday Air Race

Rocket 100 Air Race! “Run What Ya Brung”
Air Race on Saturday, Nov-11 in Central Texas, Macho Grande/Taylor (T74).

We’re going to run a triangular 100 NM course around Taylor, Texas.
Several classes for Experimental and Factory machines, based on engine displacement. No handicaps or fancy calculations - just get around the course as fast as you can and be the first in your class to cross the finish line. Timed starts to prevent passing on the course, fastest ships start first. Run your F1 Rocket, Cessna, factory twin, RV-X, whatever!
No entry fee - no cash prizes.
Just good company doing what we love to do in a safe, controlled environment!
Team Rocket will host their Fall Fly In afterwords at Macho Grande airport and winners will be announced.
See web site for details, race package download and entry form.

Reklaw Aftermath

Yesterday Dave Mason told us the numbers:
Visitors: 1015
AC: 340
Lunch served by our chapter: 600+
Accident: 1 - an UL hit a tree and get some damage, the pilot is healthy.
Biggest problem: Visitors crossing the runway without paying enough attention. It is also difficult to see, for the visitors as for the planes, due to a slope in the RWY.
