3 Fly-in

April 2./3. (Saturday and Sunday) will become busy.

There is in Gilmer (GXI, Fox Stephens Field) the Spring Fly-In & Art Show which our chapter is Co Hosting and some of us are helping. Smoke and Noise is promised. Also attractions from vintage Aircrafts to Acrobatics.

The Gilmer Fly-In is April-2nd only, the next are on April 2 and 3:

Texas Thunder Air Show in Ft.Worth NAS/JRB (ex Carswell AFB) with the Blue Angels. For this event Jack Plonien emailed: NO GA fly-in and parking. So use Arlington muni (GKY) and take a rental car there.

And there is the Jaspers Airshow at jaspers County-Bell Field (JAS). Also with a lot od interesting activities.

Where to go ?

Backend optimized

I just spent some time tweaking the backend software. So, if you notice some error, please send me a mail.

I also told the server to offer you a download area. Although webservers are generally dumb machines, our server said “well, okay. if you wish”. :-)

It is hidden in the member area. You will get the login details as soon I did some final testing. The download area will give you easy access to past newsletters and so on.

Hello world!

Our new website is still under construction, but this is how it’ll look like.

This news section is powered by Wordpress. It is a nice little news system which offers readers and writers several options. On the other hand, it is still usable. :-)

News can be categorized and are autmatically sorted by date. You can subscribe to a RSS-newsfeed to stay uptodate easily.
If you don’t know what that means, don’t worry. In short, it is a little file which special programs (newsreaders) can look for. If anything has changed, the program gets this file and shows you what has changed. A little searching for newsfeed, newsreader or rss should give you all the information you need.
Of course, you don’t have to use this feature… :-)
